OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANYFox TV StationsFOX Television Stations is one of the nation's largest owned-and-operated network broadcast groups, comprising 28 stations in 17 markets and covering over 37% of U.S. television homes. This includes seven duopolies in the top 10 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, D.C. and Houston; as well as duopolies in Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Charlotte.
The Sr. Accountant is responsible for all month end journal entries and reconciles all general ledger accounts. Assist with quarter end corporate reporting package and related analytical reports. Prepare and submit Georgia Sales & Use tax report. Assist with preparation of annual Federal and State tax packages. Maintain and reconcile all fixed asset records and monthly depreciation. Manages program/film asset and liabilities and monthly amortization. Assist in preparation of station’s annual budget process. Assist with daily log reconciliation. Manages and prepares monthly commission reports. Performs and maintains analysis on trade agreements. Assist in annual SOX testing and auditor requests. Assists Regional VP of Finance and Executive Director of Finance in preparing other financial and operational analysis, as needed.
Requirements: Must be detail-oriented and possess strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with various station personnel.
Solid working knowledge of Excel spreadsheet applications. Working knowledge of JDE, A3 and Wide Orbit preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Must have 5 years progressively responsible accounting experience. Previous experience in major television broadcast market highly desirable. Previous audit and SOX experience preferred.
