JOB DESCRIPTION

The Fox Network Center - The Woodlands is seeking a Media Services Specialist-Level 2. The Specialist position is responsible for performing a variety of Media Services functions, duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Examples of work range from receiving tapes and recording feeds to prepping, ingesting and managing content. Tasks also include data entry, tracking, and labeling, purging, degaussing, recycling, content verification, retrieving and shelving of physical tape.


This position requires a high school diploma or equivalency although a Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Radio/TV or commensurate work experience is preferred and 4+ years in television environment and/or consulting background with utilization of electronic content management systems is ideal. Minimum of 1 year of performing technical tasks using the Harris Media and Air Clients, Evertz Routers, and K-2 App Centers required.


Skills such as proficiency at error identification when performing and reviewing work, the ability to perform time calculations to detect time and date discrepancies, and the ability to make standard to military time conversions across time zones are all necessary.


Additional requirements are the ability to multitask, coordinate projects, meet deadlines and make quick decisions while managing a high volume of work with a focus on detail. Applicant needs strong anticipation and troubleshooting skills with ability to compile, calculate and report data for tracking purposes.

Candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to work flexible hours. The ability to adapt quickly to new circumstances in different environments is necessary. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products including, Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and SharePoint along with intermediate to advanced math skills are also must haves.
