Senior Director, Project Management

LA Studios

FoxNext Games is dedicated to crafting AAA quality games for a global audience, across various platforms, including mobile, console, and PC. We have four Studios in three locations - Los Angeles, San Francisco and San Jose.

  • FoxNext Games Studio in Los Angeles is delivering AAA mobile games based on premium IPs such as Marvel and Avatar.
  • Fogbank Entertainment in San Francisco is dedicated to mobile narrative game experiences.
  • Cold Iron Studios in San Jose is developing a unique shooter game within the Alien universe.
  • Our external development and licensing team in Los Angeles works with a variety of developers and publishers on interactive experiences on multiple platforms leveraging the Fox IP.

Our world-class development team at FoxNext Games LA Studios is in search of a Senior Director of Project Management. Working through dedicated project staff, this new team member will be responsible for the execution of all our projects within the LA Studio. Reporting to the VP of Production, you will take full ownership for the execution of our current and future portfolio of games. This covers the gamut of development - games that are live, games being readied for launch, and games starting to go through our greenlight process.

At FoxNext Games LA you’ll be working with some of the best developers in the world from hit games and franchises including Command & Conquer, Battle for Middle-earth, Empires and Allies, and MARVEL Strike Force.


  • Manage senior project management staff assigned to each of our internal games. You will be responsible for their daily output, their career development, and their craft expertise.
  • Supervise each team’s project management staff in planning and executing the development of multiple, parallel efforts. This will include daily server updates, future client releases, and current launches.
  • Support the teams in making informed decisions on work methods, development pipelines, priorities, and available resources. Provide progress updates to senior leadership and work well under stress.
  • Collaborate with production staff, studio-wide, to learn, teach, and innovate process improvements.
  • Proactively do anything and everything necessary to provide value to your development teams.
  • Be an ambassador for the studio’s development culture.
  • Be an excellent communicator across the team and be comfortable engaging with staff at every level - team members, project leads, studio leads, and executive management.
  • Be the backstop for key business stakeholders, ensuring that their interactions with the development teams are effective and timely. Amongst others, these stakeholders include publishing, operations, marketing, quality assurance and customer service.
  • Be able to understand when to focus on deadlines and when to focus on quality or people.


  • 15+ years of game production experience, specifically on a development team.
  • Senior level leadership experience in the development, commercial launch and live operations of 2+ large-scale free-to-play mobile games
  • Prior history of directly managing other team members.
  • Experience across multiple development methodologies (Scrum, Waterfall, Kanban).
  • Passion for playing and spending in free-to-play mobile games, particularly strategy games
  • Great communications skills (written and verbal).
  • Enjoys working in a collaborative, agile team.
  • An affinity and patience for working with creative individuals.
  • An expert working in a collaborative environment.
