JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a senior management position responsible for managing a staff of producers, photographers, editors and others to create all original content for the four Atlanta based regional networks and their digital/social media platforms. This includes oversight of field productions, media management, studio productions and post-productions where elements are created for the linear network and for all digital and social media channels at FOX Sports South/FOX Sports Southeast. You will work with the Executive Producer, other Coordinating Producers and the Director of Operations to properly manage all facets of the production department.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a full-time staff of 10+, as well as multiple freelancers, on a daily basis to ensure content meets network standards and deadlines.
  • Active involvement in productions. Managing edit sessions, overseeing studio productions and attending shoots and events outside the office.
  • Attending and leading meetings within the production department and also with other departments to determine what is needed in the short term and long term.
  • Creating schedules for field productions, edit sessions and studio productions
  • Serve as the point of contact for other departments, such as marketing, sales and programming, to ensure the production department is supporting all needs.

Qualifications

  • This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Broadcasting, Radio/TV/Film, or equivalent work experience. 
  • A minimum of 8 years experience in production and technical operations is necessary.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed.
  • Very strong organizational and project management skills are necessary.
  • A demonstrated ability to lead people and make decisions in a fast paced creative environment with hard deadlines is essential.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook is necessary.
  • Expert knowledge of different facets of production is required, including photography/remote shoots, on-location producing, editing (Avid) and studio based productions.
