The Director, Advertising & Media will work on the development of consumer marketing campaigns for series launches. The Director leads and owns campaigns from ideation to execution and is responsible for briefing the media and digital creative agencies, reviewing media plans, developing digital assets and other assets needed for the campaign, and ensuring assets in all media forms not limited to TV, online, digital, radio, outdoor, and print are created and delivered. The Director will be responsible for the overall media strategy and plan, as well as creative ideation and execution for the FX Networks portfolio which includes FX, FXX, FXM, and FXNOW. The position will work closely under the SVP and VP of Marketing and in collaboration with other Marketing Directors and Managers. 


  • Work closely with the media agency and VP and SVP to ensure media plans reflect overall strategic marketing approach and reflect previous learnings
  • Act as show lead, drafting and sharing marketing briefs with media and digital agencies
  • Collaborate with design team and act as lead with external agencies to create digital and A/V creative for use in extensive digital campaigns. Collaborate with social, digital, C&E, and other teams to identify available video content for use across partnership marketing, blog outreach, social media efforts, etc.
  • Facilitate approvals from the separate departments affected by material usage such as legal, development, graphics, publicity, home entertainment, and FX productions
  • Create presentations focusing on marketing campaign launches


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years marketing/media for an entertainment (TV network/Streamer/Film Studio or similar account at an ad agency). Extensive Digital Experience Preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in team lead or supervisory roles
  • Project management experience and ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with focus on being able to deliver clear and concise direction.
  • Proven ability to analyze media and demonstrate creative thinking. Demonstrated proficiency in social media and digital formats.
  • Must have well-rounded interpersonal skills and experience interacting with diverse personalities in fast pace collaborative working environment.
