JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is an integral part of the Ad Sales staff and process at Fox Sports West, San Diego. Through communication with sales management and account executives, this position updates and tailors sales presentations to meet specific client needs and strategies.  In addition, this role identifies emerging categories and new business prospects to pursue.  This position also oversees creative duties in support of sales efforts including:  working with Production on maintenance and management of sales element grids, and extracting video clips for sales decks and recaps.

Responsibilities

  • Provide sales packages and support to sales staff.  Through communication with management and account executives, this position establishes client needs and packages the content and design.
  • Utilizing PowerPoint/Photoshop, the development of Sales Decks/1-Sheets promoting sales opportunities.
  • Using media, monitors and other research to identify new business prospects.
  • Ability to pursue, present, and maintain new partnerships for the networks.
  • Oversee sales coordinators efforts in maintaining sales element grids for all production. 
  • Oversee creative process and follow through for both linear and digital offerings.
  • Pulling video clips off Avid System for proof of performance for sponsorship.
  • Updating/maintaining Neilsen LPM tracks for all teams and competitors.

Qualifications

  • Qualification Requirements - To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to satisfactorily perform each essential duty
  • Education / Experience -   This position requires some previous office experience. Experience in a related area is preferred. A Bachelor’s degree is a plus. NSI Ratings Knowledge is a plus
  • Language / Communication – Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary
  • Computers / Office Machine – Excellent data entry skills, proficient in Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel PowerPoint and Outlook.  Photoshop, NSI Ratings and Wide Orbit knowledge is preferred
  • Physical Demands  - The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Occasionally = one-third or less;  Frequently = one-third to two-thirds;  Regularly = more than two-thirds time spent.

    Frequently required use of hands and fingers to write, manipulate telephone and computer keyboard.  Regularly required to hear, talk and use close vision
  • Typical tools, equipment and materials utilized: Computer, telephone, printer, calculator, copier, fax machine, binding machine

  • Work Environment - The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Primarily works in a quiet, professional office environment
