JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities

  • Team Partner Asset and Relationship Management:  Work closely with each NBA/NHL/MLB team partner; implement all contractual marketing items, participate in status calls, foster strong collaboration and build solid relationships
  • Off Air Media:  Work closely with the Director of Marketing on all off-air marketing efforts; including idea creation, budgeting, planning, implementation and coordination with partners and vendors
  • Project Management:  Serve as project manager and liaison with team partners, internal departments, corporate marketing and third-party vendors; prepare summaries, recap decks and proof of performance reports
  • Consumer Promotions:  With oversight from the Director of Marketing, coordinate and track all consumer and sales promotions; including idea creation, execution, working with legal to establish rules, regulations and fulfillment of campaign
  • Social Media:  Work closely with Director of Media Relations and Director of Marketing to support various social media promotional efforts; including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and SnapChat
  • Intern Management:  Oversee and manage marketing interns; including selection and workload delegation/management
  • On-site Activations:  Manage and oversee day-to-day responsibilities of all on-site activations; including scheduling, premium procurement, on-site supervision, coordination and identifying opportunities

Qualifications

  • Education / Experience – A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field is required; knowledge and/or experience in sports and ad agency environment is strongly preferred a minimum of 3-5 years previous television marketing, professional team corporate partnerships, advertising agency, consumer marketing or related industry experience is required

  • Language / Communication – High-level written and verbal communication skills are required and the ability to communicate around multiple creative projects in a time-sensitive manner

  • Mathematical Skills – Basic math skills are required

Other Skills / Requirements

Exceptional organizational and project management skills are essential

Strong knowledge of Florida sports including NBA, NHL, MLB and NCAA football and basketball

The ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment is essential

Strong oral and written communication skills are needed

Must be strategic, creative thinker that can help create marketing plans and drive results

A general understanding of the traffic process is strongly preferred

Must be proficient in using social media including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and SnapChat

Knowledge of the following (or comparable) equipment and software applications is required:

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Photoshop
  • Wide Orbit
  • Basic understanding of television editing terms, software and formats

  • Physical Demands - Frequently required use of hands and fingers to write and computer keyboard; may be required to bend and lift up to 50 pounds 
  • Typical tools, equipment and materials utilized - Computer, telephone, printer, calculator, copier, presentation binding

  • Work Environment - Primarily works in a quiet professional office environment

  • Flexible schedule, must be able to occasionally work varying hours during event times (games, events, special functions, etc.)

  • Job will require working after hours and some weekends; individual must be able to work independently, multi-task and exhibit leadership skills

  • Travel, must be able to perform duties in other markets within the state of Florida
