JOB DESCRIPTION

The Print Designer-Trade is responsible for designing graphics for FX and FXX Networks to brand, promote and publicize the networks and their content.             

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for design materials for the PR department, including press kits, trade ads, trade campaigns and awards campaigns. Other design projects would include Outdoor Advertising, Special Event & Sales Graphics, Emmy Packaging, DVD Packaging, Network Image & Branding Elements, Online Banner Ads and FX Social Media graphics.
  • Effectively partner with others on the Print Design team to collaborate on projects and strategize the design approach.
  • Ensure that design materials for the Marketing department, including print ads and outdoor billboard campaigns for FX original programming are created on time and within budget
  • Takes a strong artistic approach to design with an eye for detail
  • Collaborate with peers and internal clients to ensure work meets creative and strategic standards appropriate to the target audiences and brand
  • Create design materials for the Promotions department, including for Comic Con and all special stunts and promotional events designed to create buzz for the network and its programming.

Qualifications:

  • 4 year degree, preferably in art, graphic design or advertising
  • 2 years on-the-job design experience
  • strong understanding of typography
  • Excellent and articulate communicator/partner
  • strong conceptual thinker with experience working on branding
  • Experience working on and creating style guides, excellent eye for color, hand type skills a plus
  • Strong experience working with “clients”
  • Has the ability to showcase diplomatic skills in the face of the unpredictable responds with a “can do” attitude to tight turnaround deadlines
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to provide a portfolio of design samples
