The FOX Sports Regional Networks serving the southeast (collectively, FOX Sports South/Southeast/Tennessee and Carolinas) are the television home of the Atlanta Braves, Hawks, United; Nashville Predators, Memphis Grizzlies, Charlotte Hornets, Carolina Hurricanes and ACC. 

FOX Sports South is seeking a Social Media Content Producer/Host to join their Atlanta, GA based team. The position will support the development and creation of social media/digital content to drive growth of audience reach, video views and engagement metrics across all digital platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of a high energy, on-camera presence in creative short form content with a solid understanding of social media functional knowledge and experience that includes creating engaging text, image and video content; compiling comprehensive impression reports and analysis; researching audience preferences and discovering current trends. This position will proactively interface with the entire staff of the FOX Sports South and FOX Sports Southeast regional television networks for resources and support. The position will report to the Coordinating Producer of Original Content.

Responsibilities

  • Pitch, script/storyboard, edit and serve as on-camera talent for short form digital content.
  • Along with the Digital Content Manager (DCM) and Digital Content Assistant (DCA) - develop and execute social/digital content strategies that drive engagement, video views and audience reach metrics.
  • Develop promotional strategies of social media content and coordinate cross promotion of linear network content across all digital platforms.
  • Compile comprehensive recap reports and media impression reports for all social media platforms.
  • Work closely with the network’s broadcasters, directing their social media efforts to coincide with company brand and sensibilities.
  • Respond to and coordinate with the Director of Marketing/Communications, the Communications Manager and SVP/General Manager to ensure consistency with the corporate messaging and branding strategies.

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2-3 years of professional experience working in social media, broadcasting or journalism field, with a strong knowledge and keen understanding of the regional sports and media landscape.
  • Fluent understanding of new media platforms and the ability to foresee trends and utilize digital assets to reach consumers.
  • Keen sense of the power of social media and digital media and be comfortable evangelizing FOX Sports South to a wide range of constituents, including fans, media, bloggers, and team partners.
  • Proficiency in video editing software (Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects), Microsoft Word, Excel, photo editing software, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Experience on-camera, in traditional broadcasting or on social media platforms highly preferred.
  • Experience composing camera shots, including setup and operation of professional video camera equipment is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills required - excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Proven ability to create and write compelling/engaging content.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills and the ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment are essential.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain successful internal and external business relationships is essential.
  • Deep knowledge of the local sports community and the ability to foster strong relationships with the fans that drive it.

This is not an 8:30a – 5:30pm office job; must have schedule flexibility to work evenings and weekends (when sporting events occur).
