The Director, Communications will run point on major NGC public relations campaigns for upcoming 2.0 tentpole projects, with a primary focus on scripted content. The director will be responsible for developing, overseeing and executing comprehensive, creative and strategic global media plans with short-term and long-term objectives, identifiable goals, and results, as well as the implementation of these strategies, securing brand-building and business driving media coverage. This position is responsible for nurturing strong media contacts with national and local print, broadcast and online outlets.
The Director, Communications will also be responsible for planning and overseeing assigned shows and talent at key industry events, such as TCA, SXSW, ComicCon and Upfront. This position is also responsible for maintaining strong communications and relationships with network talent, internal and external producers, as well as various freelancers and vendors to ensure the flow of information and identify PR opportunities.
* Daily tasks include, but not limited to:
* Successful management of communications strategy for 2.0 programs, resulting in streamlined messaging, effective and efficient execution of PR opportunities, and stronger press relationships.
* The Director will also be responsible for planning and overseeing assigned shows and talent at key industry events, such as TCA, SXSW, ComicCon and Upfront.
* Successful event results in effective and efficient presentations to press, establishing strong relationships with media, vendors, and spokespeople, and cost control with venue.
* Supervise other team members working on 2.0 campaigns.
* Strong execution of campaigns.
* A Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
* Ability to travel 30-40%.
* Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
