FXM (formerly Fox Movie Channel) was launched in October of 1994 and is now carried in 57 million homes. Its schedule features classic films during the day (FXM Retro), contemporary box office hits and acclaimed, award-winning films, and short-form award-winning original programming in the evening.


FX Networks is seeking a Vice President of Content and Editorial to serve as lead creative on brand-based AV network marketing and select FX Networks original series launch and sustain campaigns. This position will be responsible for working cross-platform in support of FX Networks, including project-based assignments for all linear/non-linear channels (FXX, FXM, FXNOW, VOD, SVOD, EST) and C&E-based AV assets to Social, Digital, Publicity, FXP and FX International.

Responsibilities include supervising the development, production, editorial, and delivery of promotions and managing all related departmental budget and billing associated with projects she/he oversee. The VP serves as a key promotion representative with outside vendors & resources and is a principle stakeholder in the network’s in-house creative group.


  • Responsible for the planning, development, execution and delivery of FX Networks’ Content & Editorial materials including network branding, original series launch and special programming across linear and non-linear platforms, including: FX, FXM, FXNOW, FX+, VOD, EST.
  • Participate in FX Networks strategic promotion & marketing, cross-network synergy initiatives, brand strategy development and series campaign creative and launch. Supervising select FX Networks assignments for Broadcast projects including branding and select series launch campaigns and non-broadcast projects including TCA/Upfront presentations, B2B reels and sizzle tapes and international presentations for brand, programming and marketing.
  • Supervise, guide and support FX Content & Editorial and its personnel including supervision of AV material for branding cross-platform, Non-Linear, Digital, Social, International & FXP.
  • Oversee the creation of non-broadcast promotional materials for the FX network, FX Suite, affiliates, ad sales, corporate, etc.  Materials include all forms and formats, from upfront presentations and sizzle pieces to select reels and seminar tapes.
  • Evaluate competitive promotion campaigns and research new editorial techniques and technology.


  • College degree with a minimum of seven years of experience in various promotion creative, production and supervisory roles with emphasis on promotions and editorial management required.
  • Must have the ability to concisely provide direction and supervision. 
  • Must have a firm understanding of the broadcasting, production & marketing lexicon.
  • Must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage budgets, formulate strategic plans, and analyze ratings data.
  • Must have a solid understanding of editing systems, network computer systems and the broadcast systems used to take promotion materials from concept to air.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal communications skills, conflict management skills, team building and attention to detail.
